Bubba Pollard Enters Clyde Hart Memorial 200 at New Smyrna Speedway

(New Smyrna, FL) Short track superstar, Bubba Pollard, has filed his entry for the ASA STARS National Tour’s season opening event at New Smyrna Speedway. Fresh off his win at SpeedFest, he’s headed to Florida as “a man on a mission.”

“I’m pissed off and motivated. I work on my own stuff, I pay my own bills, I can do what I want.” Bubba told Matt Weaver following his SpeedFest victory. Coming into the 2024 season, the Senoia, Georgia native looks to be a threat in every race.

With a re-energized look in his eyes in victory lane, an emotional Bubba Pollard told the crowd at Crisp Motorsport Park, “We just want it, we want it bad.” Pollard proved he had the car to beat on his way to capturing his 4th SpeedFest win and 3rd in a row to kick off his 2024 season.

A down season for Bubba, would be a year to remember for many. Last year, Pollard found victory at North Wilkesboro Speedway when the ASA STARS National Tour/Southern Super Series visited back in May. Bubba also picked up wins with the Southern Super Series at Cordele and Five Flags Speedway. However, solid runs and poor finishes seemed to plague the #26 throughout the year. In what looked to be a strong start to the ASA National Tour season at Five Flags Speedway, contact late in the race forced Pollard to DNF. The 2023 Clyde Hart Memorial at New Smyrna Speedway saw Pollard outfront for 28 laps before crossing the line in 11th.

The 2019 World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing Super Late Model champion found victory lane 3 times that year and never finished outside the top 10 in 6 nights of competition. Pollard has proven he knows what it takes to get it done at New Smyrna Speedway will be in contention all race and continue the strong start to 2024.
