The 3rd Annual Short Track U.S. Nationals storm into Bristol Motor Speedway (TN) this weekend, with more than 200 cars entered across four divisions for the event at “The Last Great Colosseum.”
The Super Late Model division, tri-sanctioned by the ARCA/CRA Super Series, CARS Tour and Southern Super Series, currently boasts a 34-car entry list. Entered drivers include the defending champions of those three series – Josh Brock, Jared Fryar and Casey Roderick – as well as CRA SpeedFest winner Connor Okrzesik, former PASS South champions Tate Fogleman and Matt Craig, 2017 Southern Super Series champion Stephen Nasse and 2004 Snowball Derby winner Steve Wallace.
The Pro Late Model entry list is 24 cars strong, sanctioned by the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour. Two-time defending series champion Jack Dossey III will pull double-duty, driving both a Super Late Model and Pro Late Model in the event. Other notables in the Pro Late Model field include former Monster Energy NASCAR Cup driver Mike Skinner, defending race winner Josh Reeves and 2017 Baby Rattler winner Justin South.
An impressive 63 drivers have entered the Street Stock feature, sanctioned by the Van Hoy Oil CRA Street Stock Series. Chuck Barnes, Jr. is two-for-two in the Street Stock division at the Short Track U.S. Nationals and returns for 2019 looking for his third Bristol sword. Defending CRA Street Stock champion James Kirby, III will be looking to stop Barnes’ streak, along with more than 60 other racers.
The largest division of all, the Compact division, boasts 84 entries. Both of the division’s former winners, Bo Hoelscher (2017) and Steve Vore (2018) return for another shot at Bristol glory, along with defending Vores Compact Touring Series champion Gary Eaton, Jr.
The full entry lists for all four divisions can be seen below.
The Short Track U.S. Nationals will be an incredible value for race fans, as they can come to Thunder Valley and see all 205 of these cars compete on Saturday, June 1 for just $15. Furthermore, tickets for children aged 12 and under are just $5.
