Nashville, TN – Officials with Champion Racing Association, Southern Super Series, and Crisp Motorsports have released the Digital Entry Form for the Protect Your Melon – Buckle Up Speedfest 150 scheduled for Saturday, January 20th. The event, a co-sanctioned effort by the ASA/CRA Super Series Powered by JEGS and the ASA Southern Super Series, serves as the points opener for the Southern Super Series and the unofficial season opener for the ASA/CRA Super Series.

The first ASA/CRA Super Series event sanctioned at Crisp Motorsports Park and Watermelon Capital Speedway was held in 2009 and saw Georgia native, Bubba Pollard go to Victory Lane. In 2012, the event returned to Crisp and now two-time NASCAR Cup Series Champion, Kyle Busch scored the win over Pollard and David Regan. Since then, winners have included Jeff Choquette, Chase Elliott (2x), Harrison Burton, Chandler Smith, Connor Okrzesik, Corey Heim, and Pollard three more times including the last two.

Again this season, Speedfest offers up a $10,000 payday to the driver who pulls off the win at the end of the 150 lap race. Last season, pit strategy helped Pollard get the best of Corey Heim and lead the final 23 laps.

The weekend begins on Thursday, January 18th with Open Practice from Noon to 5:00PM ET. On Friday, sanctioned practice, Single Car Qualifying and Redraw take place as well as a local program of racing. Saturday, more local racing begins the day prior to the JEGS/CRA All-Stars Tour Speedfest 100 which rolls ahead of the Protect Your Melon – Buckle Up Speedfest 150. Sunday, January 21st is the Rain Date if needed.

Additional information, including start times, event awards, and entry forms will be released in the coming weeks.
