One of the original Crown Jewel short track events in the nation returns with the 31st Annual World Crown 300 set to roll on October 23rd and 24th at Cordele Motor Speedway (GA). The historic Super Late Model event will pay a minimum $35,000 to win and $3,000 to start. Drivers who participated in Cordele’s Super Fest events in 2026 will be eligible for substantially increased payouts beyond that.

Entry forms have been released by the ASA Southern Super Series and track officials for teams to sign up and be a part of this historic event. There will be a 100 Lap Pro Late Model event ran in conjunction with the WC300. That entry form can be found on the track web site.

In addition to handing out the trophy to the winner, another driver will be crowned the ASA Southern Super Series Champion for the 2026 season. Dawsonville, Georgia driver Spencer Davis leads the standings in search of his first series title. Matt Craig has moved to second in the points after his first win of the season at Five Flags in late September. Fellow Georgia driver Bubba Pollard is third in points heading to a track that he’s won at 15 times in the past between Pro Late Model and Super Late Model. All three will be gunning for a double crown of race winner and series champion in victory lane.

The World Crown 300 began in Georgia at Jeffco Speedway back in 1983. The race was a part of the All Pro Super Series at the time, and it drew the biggest names in short track racing. Dick Trickle claimed the inaugural event which boasted prize money well ahead of its time for the 1983 season.

The winners list continued with names like Gary Balough, Mike Eddy, Darell Waltrip, Rich Bickle, Bobby Gill, Mike Cope and Freddie Query claiming some of the early events.

For more information, visit CordeleMotorSpeedway.com and www.SouthernSuperSeries.com. The two-day schedule will feature practice on Friday, with Qualifying and racing taking place on Saturday.
