For the first time in series history, the ASA Southern Super Series will open the season in the Sunshine State. This will make the February 10th Co-Sanctioned ASA STARS National Tour Clyde Hart Memorial 200 at New Smyrna Speedway the first race of 2026 for both the regional series and the National Tour.
Due to weather issues at Cordele Motor Speedway (GA), SpeedFest will be pushed back on the schedule, giving New Smyrna the opportunity to host the kickoff tour party for 2026.
A large car count is expected as several series drivers, both regulars and first-time drivers under the ASA banner, will be in New Smyrna for the 60th Annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing.
In addition to being the first race of 2026 for the ASA STARS National Tour and the ASA Southern Super Series, the Clyde Hart Memorial 200 will also be the first event for the Florida Sunshine State Four Crown.
The Four Crown events include the Sunshine State 200 at Five Flags in March, the Blizzard finale at Five Flags in September, and the Florida Governor’s Cup 200 in November back at New Smyrna. In conjunction with the ASA/CRA title, the Four-Crown Championship will be decided at the Governor’s Cup. The highest averaging finish will be worth $10,000, with the top hard charger average over those races gaining a $5,000 bonus.
The Clyde Hart Memorial will also be a part of the David Rogers Super Late Model Series, and drivers competing will also score points towards the Speedweeks Super Late Model crown.
Points will be awarded for the ASA STARS National Tour, but this remains a non-points event for the ASA Southern Super Series.
Practice and Qualifying will take place on Monday, February 9th at New Smyrna Speedway with prime–time qualifying laps taking place under the lights at 7pm ET. The field will be set that night with a last-chance race if needed.
The 27th running of the Sig Sauer Academy Clyde Hart Memorial 200 will go green on Tuesday, February 10th at 7:30pm.
