2025 has either been a solid season for Stephen Nasse or a sub-par one. It all depends on how you look at it. Despite not having a victory since the Snowflake 100 at Five Flags Speedway last December, Nasse has still managed to be in the mix each week.
He is one of the only drivers to have top 10 runs in all of his ASA Southern Super Series starts this season.
This season, 10 total races have resulted in 10 top 10 fives, eight in the top five, and finishes on the lead lap in each event. However, the win column is still empty.
“Winning is the goal and sometimes it’s hard to not get that result,” said Nasse. “It's good motivation to go to the track when running well and contending for the victory.
Right now the competition is so tough, finishing the race and being in the top five means we are in the right place.”
Heading into the Fairgrounds Speedway Nasse has to be excited to be at a place that has done him well over the years. In 2024 Nasse posted a pair of top five finishes including a fifth in the All American 400. Nasse, a former winner of the event, is always in a mix for the guitar.
“I really like tracks like Nashville,” added Nasse. “High speed is always run in a Super Late Model and we have been really good there many times. I hope we leave town with the trophy and can build the season on a victory.”
Having been on the podium in each of the last three 100-lap ASA Southern Super Series races at Nashville has Nasse thinking they can be fast in practice.
On Saturday, racing begins at 5 pm on May 3rd in Nashville with the stars of the ARCA Menards Series East Music City 150, ASA Southern Super Series, and CRA competing in the North/South Challenge 100, along with the Pro Late Model 100.
