Cole Butcher picked up his third win of the 2025 ASA Southern Super Series season. The victory at Nashville was the first time Butcher had finished a race inside the top 10 at the historic Fairgrounds Speedway. Butcher has been on the podium five times this season in six starts.
Butcher was the leader at halfway for the fifth time in six races. Speaking of leading, Butcher also has now led at least one lap in the last eight ASA Southern Super Series events. That remains a record he is extending each race.
Bubba Pollard and rookie Gavan Boschele kept their top-10 streaks alive and are both six-for-six this season. These two drivers have three races in the victory column this season.
Fellow Rookie Carson Brown posted a well-needed third-place finish. Brown has been in the top five in two of his last three races. Brown will be ready to roll in North Carolina at Hickory Motor Speedway later this month.
Matt Craig posted his third podium finish in the last four races. While he’s made up a lot of ground in the points on other drivers, he’s working to flex out his early-season mulligans. Craig will have a hometown advantage as the next race will be at Hickory Motor Speedway.
We have to extend a big shoutout to track and series officials, drivers, and fans for rolling with the punches this past weekend. Racing on Sunday was not how we drew it up, but it was worth it once we saw cars on the speedway.
Albert Francis was the hard charger for the race as he started 18th and finished seventh. With the run at Nashville Francis tied his best overall career finish in the ASA Southern Super Series.
For the second consecutive race, all drivers in the field finished and took the checkered flag. At Mobile Elliott Massey was off the pace for two laps and at Nashville all drivers finished at least 99 laps.
The ASA Southern Super Series will return to action at Nashville in November for the All American 400 weekend. That is a combination race with the ASA STARS National Tour.
The next two races for the ASA Southern Super Series will be combined events with the ASA STARS National Tour. The Ross & Witmer 255 presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch
will be at Hickory on Thursday, May 22nd after a practice day on May 21st. The following day will be a practice day at Newport Speedway as the series visits the Tennessee Oval for the first time. The Newport 300 presented by Appalachian Sucker Punch will take place on Saturday, May 24th.
