Cordele, GA — Online entry is now officially open for Super Late Models and Pro Late Models for the 2026 running of SpeedFest, set for Friday–Saturday, January 23–24, 2026 at Cordele Motor Speedway. The popular season-opening event is now just one month away and will once again showcase some of the best short track competitors in the country.
SpeedFest will feature the ASA Southern Super Series presented by Sunoco for Super Late Models, along with the Southern Pro Series Pro Late Models. The weekend racing program will also include competition from INEX Legends and Bandoleros, making for a full four-division show.
On-track activity begins with an optional open test day on Thursday, January 22, running from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Practice and qualifying for all four divisions will take place on Friday, January 23, with Feature racing set for Saturday afternoon, January 24, beginning at 1:00 PM.
SpeedFest also serves as part of Cordele Motor Speedway’s SuperFest schedule, a marquee lineup of events that builds throughout the season and culminates with the prestigious World Crown 300 in October.
Widely regarded as the unofficial kickoff to the racing season, SpeedFest dates back to 2005, when the event debuted at USA International Speedway and was held there for its first four years. The event moved to Lanier Speedway in 2009, where it ran for three seasons, before finding a permanent home at Cordele Motor Speedway in 2012, where it has been contested annually ever since. The 2026 edition will mark the 21st running of SpeedFest.
Over the years, SpeedFest winners have included some of the sport’s biggest names, such as Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, Harrison Burton, Chandler Smith, and Corey Heim. In recent years, Bubba Pollard of Senoia, Georgia has dominated the event, capturing victories in each of the last four SpeedFest races at Cordele.
The event started including the Pro Late Model class in 2009 after it moved to Lanier. That winner’s list is also impressive with the likes of Chase Elliott, John Hunter Nemecheck, Casey Roderick, Bubba Pollard, Stephen Nasse, Augie Grill, and others claiming wins.
