The battle for the ASA Southern Super Series championship might be one of the best ones in recent memory.  At the front of this battle we will see four young rookies who will be competing in their first full season of Super Late Model action.

They will be chasing the honors of the VDL Fuel Systems Rookie of the year.

First up is Carson Brown who will pilot the Anthony Campi Racing ride that led Casey Roderick to a Championship in 2024.  Brown knows he has big shoes to fill, but he’s been with Campi for now a year grooming for this opportunity.

“Campy and I have a really special relationship,” said Brown.  “I feel like we work together really well and we showed that in 2024. SpeedFest was our first Super race together and we clicked off really well again.  We want to complete all the laps and if we can do that and qualify well then we can be chasing top fives and wins.”

Next we have Gavan Boschele who makes the switch from the Rackley WAR Team to the Wilson Motorsports team.

“Wilson Motorsports is putting us in a really good opportunity for this season,” said Boschele.  “I haven't checked the entire schedule, but I know there are at least six tracks between the Southern Super Series and the National Tour that I have not been to. This team has and that gives us a lot of confidence.”

Dylan Fetcho is in this mix with perhaps the most experience at the Pro Late Model level among the other two.  Fetcho is up for the fight to be the top rookie at the end of the season.

“Yeah, I’m super excited to be doing this full time,” said Fetcho.  “It's definitely a dream come true to be even racing a Super Late Model, let alone running all the time and trying to run for points in the Southern Super Series. I have been wanting this for years after having as much as we have with the Pro Late Models.”

Rounding out the Rookie class is Geroge Phillips who brings a second effort out of the Donnie Wilson Motorsports stables.  Phillips already has pocketed a few big Pro Late Model races in his young career.

The ASA Southern Super Series is in its 13th season as a premier Regional Tour. In 2022 SSS, based in Pensacola, FL, formed an alliance with Track Enterprises and their ASA Midwest Tour, ASA Champion Racing Association, and the ASA STARS National Tour, in an effort to unify Super Late Model Racing on a national level.
