Hudson Bulger Looks to Defend Home Turf at Georgia Summer Nationals

ree

Racers in Georgia think about two things in the fall.  Georgia Football and the World Crown 300.  As the summer nights get shorter the realization that both are just a few page turns on the calendar.

Hudson Bulger is an up-and-coming Super Late Model driver and a Georgia Bulldog fan.  He knows the season soon, and so does the second half of the Super Late Model tilt at Cordele Motor Speedway.

The Georgia Summer Nationals will feature a doubleheader weekend with all roads leading to the World Crown 300. Under the banner of the ASA Southern Super Series, the 75-lap race on Friday night will be worth $7,500 while the 125-lap race on Saturday will pay $10,000 to win.

“You could say there is an advantage for us as Cordele is our home track,” said Bulger. “We haven’t been racing as much here recently, but to go back to it and to be racing in Georgia makes it extra special.”

It’s a two-headed approach for Bulger and his Byron Outdoor Superstore, Brinkley RV, Hamby Automotive, CB Free Reality, and Simpson Machine.  With Brett Ragan as the Crew Chief, they know that making starts this weekend will help boost their prize money at the World Crown.

Bulger already raced in the first SuperFest race, thus making his starting pay at the World Crown a potential $5,000 just to take the green flag, and $50,000 if he can pull off the Victory.

“We are building a notebook for each race,” added Bulger.  “We want to complete all the laps and finish well.  We are racing against some bigger teams; they have more funding, so for us to be battling with them makes the whole team feel good about themselves and our efforts.”
