(Pensacola, FL) Young guns Conner Jones and Jett Noland are among the earliest entries for the “Sunshine State 200” at Five Flags Speedway, in Pensacola, FL. Race #2 of the 2024 ASA STARS National Tour is set for Saturday and Sunday, March 23 & 24.
Jones, the 17-year-old from Fredericksburg, VA set fast time during Go Fas Pole Qualifying at the ASA STARS National Tour season opening event at New Smyrna Speedway on February 13, and led the 32-car starting field for the Clyde Hart Memorial 200 to the green flag. Jones would run in the top 15 all evening and finished 13th on the lead lap.
Noland, a rising star at just 20 years old, turned in a stellar performance in the ASA STARS National Tour Clyde Hart Memorial, finishing runner-up to race winner Bubba Pollard.
Noland qualified 9th and remained in the top ten through the first stage. The youngster then began marching towards the front, finishing 3rd at the end of stage 2 before settling for 2nd to Pollard at the drop of the checkers.
The ASA STARS National Tour returns to action on Sunday afternoon, March 24 for the Sunshine State 200 at the legendary Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, FL. The event will be a “Spring Break Stock Car Double Header,” as the ASA STARS National Tour will be joined by the ARCA Menards Series East on Saturday, March 23. It’s all part of a three-day weekend of racing that begins on Friday, March 22 with the season opener for three local classes.
