(Newton, NC) The stars will shine bright on Thursday, May 23rd as NASCAR Cup Series driver Josh Berry has entered the Tar Heel 250. Berry, who drives the number 4 car for Stewart-Haas Racing will jump behind the wheel of the Kevin Harvick owned Super Late Model.
Since 2021, Berry has 5 wins in the NASCAR Xfinity Series driving for Dale Earnhardt Jr. His success didn’t just start there, however, as Berry has cut his teeth at short tracks throughout America and is no stranger to the Hickory Motor Speedway. The 2014 Late Model Track Champion has also had multiple wins at the famed 1/3rd-mile. Berry has a long list of achievements including winning the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series National Championship.
The midweek return of the ASA STARS National Tour at Hickory Motor Speedway will help kick off the big NASCAR Memorial Day Weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway.
Wednesday, May 22nd will serve as hauler parking, tech inspection and practice for both the ASA STARS National Tour and the US Legend Cars. Thursday, May 23rd will feature practice, an on track autograph session, Go-Fas Pole Qualifying, the US Legend National Qualifier event, and the Tar Heel 250.

Founded by Track Enterprises President Bob Sargent, The ASA STARS National Tour for pavement super-late model stock cars debuted in March 2023 for Super Late Model racing in America.
The ASA STARS National Tour is a ten-race championship series, offering a $100,000 point fund. The tour will visit ten different race tracks in 7 states in 2024, with the season beginning in February during Florida Speedweeks, and concluding in early November at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. Track Enterprises (TE) is a racing Promotions Company based in Illinois, which owns and operates the ASA STARS National Tour. In addition to the STARS National Tour, Track Enterprises owns and operates Championship Racing Association (CRA) and the ASA Midwest Tour.
