In just a few short months, Spencer Davis is starting to check boxes in the Super and Pro Late Model world that rival some of the best of all time. Davis, fresh off winning a pair of Allen Turner Pro Late Model races at Five Flags in 2025, went to New Smyrna Speedway and pocketed two wins, as well as the Super Late Model points championship.
“We are super excited to be going to Five Flags on the heels of the success we had at Speedweeks,” said Spencer Davis. “Our GMS Nexus Racing Surf USA Mobile machine has been on a tear since we formed this relationship. Working with Tony Eury, Jr. and all the guys at GMS has been a real blessing, and we are making the most of it.”
Davis is the third driver to win both the Pro Late Model and the Super Late Model crown at the World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing. Prior to Davis, Jeff Choquette and Sammy Smith had already accomplished the feat.
Davis is the flagship driver for GMS Race Cars and is making a lot of noise with strong finishes as the GMS brand is expanding in the short-track world. Davis drives for Nexus Racing (formerly Ben Kennedy Racing) and is seeking the Deep South Crane Blizzard Series.
“We are going to chase the points for the Blizzard Series, and hopefully we can put a championship run together and finish the deal and do what we tried to do in the Pro Late Model. Five Flags is such a great racetrack, and it’s fun to race there, and you are always getting ready for the Snowball Derby.”
Davis was in the top 10 in the Blizzard Series standings in 2025, but the extra focus now on the Super Late Model programs has them as a contender for the top spot come September.
